British Singer/Songwriter Anthony Duke is one of my favourite new acts to appear on the scene in the last 12 months. Granted he is not your traditional country sounding act (although he has covered beautifully a couple of Don Williams and Glen Campbell hits which have gone down so well). But if British acts are going to progress they have to take risks and do their own thing and Duke's latest May You Be Loved, with some gorgeous steel guitar is a breath of fresh air.
'May You Be Loved' is currently at number 11 in the Hot Disc top 40 Chart and number 4 in the Brtish and Irish Independent top 10.
"Duke has an impressive vocal range & uses it superbly"
Maurice Hope, Rock n Reel Magazine.
"Country/Rock from a UK Singer/songwriter who sounds like he could be a top Nashville artist" Ray Grundy, Metro Country.
"Anthony Duke's album 'May You Be Loved' is one of the most beautifully performed and polished productions by an act from the UK in many a year"
Up Country Magazine.
'May You Be Loved' is a superb album. It moves smoothly through so many musical styles and the production work is top notch.
(Allan Watkiss, UK Country Radio/BBC Sheffield/S. Yorkshire)
"Anthony Duke can rock your socks or lull you softly with a ballad as easily as breathing" Indie Showcase
